Meet the Staff
Malcolm E. Givens CPA -- Malcolm has worked in public accounting since 1988. He began his career in accounting working with the firm's founder Mervell Cronin as a college intern in 1986. After graduating from Bryant University, he worked for a regional firm in Providence, RI for a few years before rejoining Mervell Cronin at his practice.
Malcolm enjoys developing relationships with his small business and individual clients and providing tax planning and preparation, business planning and consulting, and assisting with bookkeeping services. He has a great working knowledge of QuickBooks as a result of working with the program since its inception.
He is a graduate of Bryant University with a B.S. in Business Management with an Accounting Concentration.
He and his wife Anne live in Norton with their 2 children. He is involved in various local charities which include being a member of the Attleboro Scholarship Foundation's awards committee, treasurer of the Hebron Food Pantry, and past-president of the Attleboro Lions Club. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Karen E. Girczyc CPA -- Karen has worked in public accounting since 1999 and has been with this office since 2003. Prior to working in public accounting, she spent many years working in the corporate world primarily with the L.G. Balfour Company, where she was the Director of Finance/Controller until the company relocated to Texas.
Karen enjoys developing relationships with individuals and small businesses to provide tax planning and preparation, business planning and consulting, and assisting with bookkeeping services, having a great working knowledge of QuickBooks.
She is a graduate of Bryant University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and in Management with a Human Resource Concentration
A life-long resident, she and her husband Andy live in Attleboro. They have 3 children. Karen is involved with various local charities which include volunteering for Christmas is for Kids, a program for the Attleboro Area Council for Children and serving on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mary Brown, Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper -- Mary has worked for the office since 2000. She provides services, including bookkeeping for our clients and assisting in tax preparation, in addition to handling general clerical and reception duties. She has developed a thorough knowledge of QuickBooks and is able to assist our clients with their questions and problems.
Mary is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Accounting. After graduation she worked as a royalty accountant for Hasbro, Inc. for three years until leaving to raise her family.
Attleboro residents since 1987, Mary and her husband Ray have 3 children. With the college years behind them, they are ready to travel. When she has free time she enjoys taking long walks with her husband and enjoys summertime and spending time at their family summer home and on their pontoon boat with family and friends.
